Community Awareness Bulletin

COMMUNITY AWARENESS BULLETIN

This is an update regarding the recent incident involving the theft of doors from the old fire truck that was set to go to auction. Thanks to the efforts of Selectwoman Tabatha McCrohan, who promptly informed the community about the crime, and the active participation of our residents in commenting on the incident, the doors were recovered yesterday just off the side of the road.

I want to commend Selectwoman McCrohan for her leadership in addressing this issue and express my gratitude to the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation for their assistance in this case. The Sheriff’s Office sent their Detective Unit to Berkley PD to photograph, fingerprint, and use other forensic investigative measures on the doors in hopes of identifying the individual or individuals responsible for the theft.

This successful resolution demonstrates the strong partnership between our town leadership, external law enforcement partners, and the community. I want to thank all of you for your involvement and support in helping to recover the stolen doors. If you have any information that could further assist in the investigation, please contact the Berkley Police Department (508)-822-7040.

I want to assure you that the police department is actively reviewing video camera footage and following up on potential leads to bring this case to a swift resolution. Your cooperation and vigilance are crucial in maintaining the safety and security of our community.

Thank you for your continued support
